Mahmudov: Azerbaijan is a safe country

Azerbaijan is a safe country, which is able to hold sports events at the highest level, the Minister of National Security Eldar Mahmudov said during a speech at an event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani security agencies.The Minister recalled that for the organisation of the 2015 Baku European Games new sports arenas and complexes have been opened, existing sports facilities were repaired and infrastructure was expanded.In this regard, he noted that the organization of international events in Azerbaijan is essential to the credibility and image of the country, and that poses a great task for the national security agencies of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
