Queen Elizabeth II dissolves parliament

Queen Elizabeth II of the UK has dissolved the parliament. Prime Minister David Cameron said after a meeting with the Queen at the Buckingham Palace that he will stand for the prime minister for the third time, should conservatives win, Interfax reports.According to Cameron, his successor could be Home Secretary Theresa May, Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and London Mayor Boris Johnson.The UK will hold parliamentary polls on May 7.
