Vestnik Kavkaza and Trend news agencies sign partnership agreement

The document was signed today in Baku by the Director General of Trend Ilgar Guseynov and the Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza Alexey Vlasov.
According to the document, the sides will have regular exchange of operative information, analytical materials, photos on political, economic, social and cultural activities in Russia, Azerbaijan and the region in general. The sides will provide information support for heads of countries and delegations, international actions and events on the territory of the two countries.
Vlasov pointed out that the agreement demonstrates the strengthening mutual understanding between Russia and Azerbaijan. He expressed hope that the agreement will give way to the realization of joint projects in the near future.
Guseynov said that Vestnik Kavkaza is one of the most dynamically developing information resources in Russia. He expressed hope that Russia and Azerbaijan will be able to train journalists and that the information resources of the two agencies will give a better picture of the situation in the Caucasus.
The editor-in-chief of Vestnik Kavkaza and the head of Caucasus studies center at the Russian State University for the Humanities Ismail Agakishiyev answered journalists' questions at Trend's office.
