Chechen leader honoured to enter sanctions list

 

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov considers being included on the new sanctions list an honour, as the “infantry” of Vladimir Putin, Kadyrov stated on his Instagram page.Kadyrov noted that he had been engaged in arms trade with Australia for a long time. He added that he had many mining factories in Australl ia, run by Russian machines. In his words, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop “disappointed me for a long time,” said Kadyrov, commenting on his name appearing in the list of sanctions.The Chechen leader said that it is naïve to think that sanctions would affect the home or foreign policy of Russia.
