Armenian president to visit Greece in January

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will visit Greece in January to strengthen ties between the two countries and promote inter-government cooperation, Greek President Karolos Papoulias said at a meeting with Armenian Parliamentary Speaker Ovik Abramyan, News Armenia reports.

Papoulias noted that both Armenians and Greeks suffered at the hands of Turkey. He also expressed regret that Turkey still has not apologized for the crimes the Ottoman Empire committed against Armenians.
