Chechen leader says Grozny’s status of City of Military Glory shows appreciation

 

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on his online page today that the status of the City of Military Glory granted to Grozny was a sign of appreciation for the courage of hundreds of thousands of Chechens fighting on the frontlines in the Great Patriotic War, providing fuel and protecting the republic from fascists, TASS reports.The Chechen parliament filed a bid to give the city the status in March 2014.
