Sevastopol has enough water for whole summer

The volume of water in the Chernorechenskoye Water Reservoir, which supplies Sevastopol with 70% of the water consumed, has reached 4.5 million cubic meters. According to Miroslav Sagaydak, the head of the office for civil protection, the city has enough water for the summer. The water level will keep rising, TASS reports.


The state of emergency was declared in Sevastopol on October 22, the water level went down to only 7 million cubic meters. The current level exceeds 43 million cubic meters. The city authorities are realizing the program developed by the Ministry for Construction and the Ministry for Environment. Over 400 million rubles from the federal budget were assigned for the program.


The water reservoir has a capacity of 65 million cubic meters of water.
