Iran could join TAP

The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) Head of Communications, Lisa Givert, commenting on possible interest from Iran in acquiring a share in the TAP project following the removal of sanctions imposed on the country, said that TAP does not exclude the participation of Iran in the project, and it is open to the addition of new shareholders.

The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is open to the addition of new shareholders, which can add strategic value to the project.

"TAP is fully committed to transport volumes from the second phase of the Azerbaijani Shah Deniz field development through Greece, Albania and into Italy. For any additional volumes that come on stream, TAP will comply with EU regulations and relevant sanctions," Trend cited Givert.
