Stela to open at Grozny center for Victory Day

 

Speaker of the Chechen Parliament Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov said that a stela called ‘City of Military Glory’ will be erected opposite the Grozny Mayor’s Office for May 9, as decided by Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov, TASS reports.A military parade, sports competitions, weddings and concerts will be organized on May 9.Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an edict on April 6, granting Staraya Russa, Petrozavodsk, Grozny, Gatchina and Feodosia the status of the City of Military Glory. Over 40 Russian cities have such status at the moment.
