Tokhtar Aubakirov: Russia is Kazakhstan’s main space partner

Tokhtar Aubakirov, a Hero of the Soviet Union and a People’s Hero of Kazakhstan, a distinguished test pilot, said that Russia was the main partner of Azerbaijan in the space sector, though Astana will continue cooperation with other countries, TASS reports.

The pilot explained that Russian technologies alone are not enough. Aubakirov reminded that the French realized that cooperation with Russia was limited by political motives. Kazakhstan could act as a mediator between the French and the Russians, the pilot clarified.
