Iraq is asking for US weapons in the fight against the terrorist group Islamic State. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will appeal with this request during his visit to the USA.

The Iraqi side has made a list of the weapons it needs, among which are drones, Apache attack helicopters and military ammunition. The list will be presented on Tuesday, April 14, at a meeting with US President Barack Obama.

The source said that if Iraq is not able to get help from Washington, Baghdad will make the same request to Iran.
