Syria and Libya will not attend meeting of EU foreign ministers

As the Spanish foreign ministry reported today, representatives of Syria and Libya will not travel to Barcelona for an informal meeting of foreign ministers of EU member states and the countries of the Southern Neighbourhood.

"Syria and Libya were not invited to participate in the meeting due to their internal situations," the Spanish foreign ministry noted, adding that the participants in the negotiations in Barcelona will discuss the political situation in these countries in the general context.
