A Russian delegation has been invited to a conference on nuclear disarmament in Teheran.

Russia will participate in a conference on nuclear disarmament taking
place 17th-18th April in Tehran, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister
Sergey Ryabkov said, RIA Novosti reports.

"We are invited and we will participate in the Iranian conference. It
is too early to judge at what level, but we have confirmed our
participation", - Ryabov said on a broadcast of the "Echo of Moscow"
radio station. According to Ryabov, the theme of the conference is
using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and related issues.

"We understand that the NPT triad will be discussed: disarmament,
non-proliferation, but the focus will be on using nuclear energy for
peaceful purposes", - added the diplomat.
