Turkish police detain former head of TUBITAK

The former head of Turkey’s Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK), Yucel Altunbasak, has been arrested by police an investigation into a case of political espionage.

According to the Turkish authorities, Altunbasak's detention is part of a wave of arrests, created by Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, RIA Novosti reports.
