White House spokesman Josh Ernest said that US President Barack Obama is ready to sign a bill granting Congress the right to consider amendments to the comprehensive agreement on the settlement of Iran's nuclear issue.

"We have made clear to Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the President would be willing to sign the proposed compromise that is working its way through the committee today," TASS cited him as saying.

The previous version of that bill was rejected by the White House.
