The foreign ministers of the G7 countries welcome the UN Security Council's resolution on the termination of the delivery of weapons to Houthis, Germany German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, said today.

"We much welcome that the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution last night which bans the delivery of weapons to Houthis. This was possible thanks to the obviously constructive positions of China and Russia," RIA Novosti cited the minister.

Russia’s UN ambassador Vitaly Churkin voiced the position of the Russian delegation that the requirements insisted upon by Russia to call on all sides in the conflict to swiftly cease fire and begin peace talks weren't included.
