Kazakhstan and Turkey have productive cooperation

According to Poletayev, Kazakhstan may help Turkey deliver products to the EaEU market. Ankara may help Kazakhstani business develop trade and economic ties with Europe, considering that the EU has the highest share in the trade turnover of Kazakhstan. The expert reminded that Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev had promoted Turkey as an associate member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Togrul Ismail, a docent of the Faculty for International Relations at the TOBB University of Economics and Technology, said that the visit of Erdogan to Kazakhstan on the eve of the elections was a good gesture of support for Kazakhstan and President Nazarbayev in political and economic terms.
The expert reminded that the countries had signed an agreement on cooperation in the economic and socio-economic sectors. He clarified that $1 billion of the trade turnover was exports to Kazakhstan and over $3 billion was imports. Kazakhstan tends to sell raw materials. Turkey has over 100 companies that have invested over $2 billion in Kazakhstan. Turkey is the fourth largest investor in the energy sector of Kazakhstan, positioned 17 in general.
Ismail supposes that Turkey may help Kazakhstan become more familiar with the European market. Kazakhstan will, in return, help Turkey deliver products to other countries of the EaEU.
