The Azerbaijani government is studying a bill on standards of gravestones, as stated by Mubariz Gurbanly, the head of the State Committee for Religious Organizations, APA reports.

He clarified that the government could not interfere with setting of VIP tents set at funerals.

The bill stipulates production of gravestones from stone. Gravestones will have a maximum height of 50cm, tombstones - 60cm. The document has no provisions for private cemeteries. Graves, unless they belong to couples, will be laid in lines.
