Merkel: it is possible to create a free trade zone with Russia in the future

The creation of a free trade zone between Germany and Russia is possible in the future, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, speaking at an economic forum in the German town of Stralsund.

"In the future, we see the creation of a large free trade area, including Russia," the DPA agency quotes her as saying.

"Step by step, we are doing everything to get closer to a Common Economic Space – as Vladimir Putin once said - from Vladivostok to Lisbon," RIA Novosti quoted the German Chancellor as saying.
