Turkmenistan creates a new phone company

By decree of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the closed joint stock company Aşgabat şäher telefon ulgamy (Ashgabat urban telephone network) has opened in Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan with a share in the authorized capital of 30% and a state-owned company under the Ministry of Telecommunications, Türkmentelekom, with a share of 60%, will serve as founders.
