The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Aivaras Abromavicius, said that the country plans to allow foreign investors to participate in the privatization of Ukrainian state-owned assets and to prohibit such an opportunity for Russians at the legislative level.

"If we start large-scale privatization, then, of course, we need to do a normal road-show, that is, to show what we have, and invite foreign investors. Russian investors are not allowed to buy the assets, so we need to expand the geography," he stressed.

According to the minister, limiting the participation of Russian investors will be written into the law. Abromavicius noted that investors from Russia will not be allowed to participate in the purchase of Ukrainian state assets "not in the primary sale, nor in the secondary." "Such a reaction will be appropriate on the part of Ukraine," he believes.
