Syrian opposition to visit Astana on April 27

A Syrian opposition group will visit Astana next week to discuss the possibility of inter-Syrian negotiations in Kazakhstan.

 

Earlier, representatives of the Syrian opposition officially appealed to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev with a request to mediate further negotiations to resolve the ongoing crisis in Syria.Today it was announced that Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov has invited the Syrian opposition to Astana for a preliminary exchange of views.
