Growing NATO forces will not affect dialogue with Russia

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said after talks with Danish Foreign Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt that the growing NATO forces were not undermining the dialogue with Russia, TASS reports.Stoltenberg backed Denmark’s assistance in the deployment of the NATO missile shield in Europe.Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt said that Denmark should be prepared for participation in NATO operations even beyond its borders as a sign of solidarity with European allies in the east.Stoltenberg and Helle Thorning-Schmidt discussed the realization of decisions made at the Wales Summit of the Alliance in September 2014 and further development of NATO in light of topical challenges.
