ISIS declares war on Taliban

Nabi Zhan Mullahil, the head of the Helmand Province Directorate of the Afghan Interior Ministry, said that the ministry had received documents of ISIS and the Taliban Movement, stating that the two organizations had declared war on each other, TASS reports.

ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi called Mullah Mohammed Omar, the founder of the Taliban Movement, “an illiterate field commander” who “did not deserve trust.” Taliban leaders urged their followers to prevent ISIS from raising its flag over Afghanistan.
