Kondratiev appointed new Krasnodar Regional Governor

Vladimir Putin has named current Deputy Krasnodar Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratiev as the acting governor of the region to fill the vacancy until elections during a meeting with Kondratiev and Alexander Tkachev, who has just vacated the position to become the country’s new agriculture minister.

"Veniamin Kondratiev, I would ask that you fulfill the responsibilities of managing the Krasnodar Region until elections are held in September of this year," RIA Novosti cited Putin.
