In recent years, Russia has begun to realize that  interpenetration of traditions, cultures and religions promotes unity of the peoples. Meanwhile, experts say that the preservation and development of national languages is neglected, especially in the field of literature. As suggested by the professor of the Dagestan State University, assistant to the deputy of the State Duma Miyasat Muslimova, "in our country   sufficient attention is given to support the preservation of native languages, but if we talk about the tradition, today in many ways we are working on the inertia of what has been achieved in the Soviet period. A little more, and we will face a situation of failure in this area."

According to the professor, even during the Great Patriotic War Dagestan Publishing produced about 2 thousand books with a circulation of 5 million copies, and today circulation fells. Now the circulation of publications in native languages does not exceed 500 copies. Publication of works in native languages is rapidly declining. In 2013, there were 82 publications in native languages, in 2014 - 72, in 2015 - 38.

National book publishing is a state publishing business, because these problems can not be solved by commercial publishers. They do not aim to support national literature, and it meanwhile brings people together, creates a common cultural, spiritual space.

«Recently,  in the administration of the head of the republic we have held a meeting where there was a task set in front of the national media, it is also a form, where  national literature and book publishing can be broadcasted   to reach self-sufficiency. If the question is put that way, talking about self-sufficiency of publications, we will face  disaster.  Works of small nations, circulation of which is small, will never be profitable. This is the problem  number one. While government support is  not provided in full measure, and while we only talk about that in front of them about the task of self-sufficiency, we will contribute to the destruction of the national book publishing».  Miyasat Muslimova believes.

According to her, in the Strategy of national policy until 2025  the idea of state support for national publications, national languages is  a priority, and a problem, and a goal, and  a principle . But this is  a declarative part, which should be implemented by the concrete measures. Now  authors, who are  writing in the national languages, are waiting  for eight years, waiting for their turn to, after they  will be able to publish the book in their native languages.

Miyasat Muslimov says that today in the city, in conditions of metropolis mother language is practically not used, it dies as acting in a large, multi-ethnic region. Life is provided for native languages only in villages today, mono-national education. In terms of migration, this is also a question, which  can be a serious problem soon in agenda. "It is necessary to preserve the language of fiction, as the highest form of the language. We talk a lot about preserving languages, but mostly we mean everyday language. We have newspapers in the native languages. We have 14 TV stations in national languages. The government is doing a lot, but this is not enough. The state support of national literature is  number one issue today," the professor says.
