18 people die bombings in Iraq

At least 18 civilians were killed today in two bombings in Diyala province in Western Iraq.

One of the explosions was in the city of Muqdadiyah, situated about 80 kilometers northwest of Baghdad. The second explosion was in the city of Baquba on Sunday. According to police, 12 people were executed by shootings, RIA Novosti reports.

A law-enforcement source informs about 28 wounded by the explosions.

Not one extremist group has taken responsibility for the terrorist attacks.
