Putin: Nazarbayev's victory is symbol of support for Eurasian integration process

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on winning the presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"In a congratulatory telegram, the head of the Russian state noted that the result of the voting confirms the high authority that Nazarbayev has among Kazakhstan’s citizens, who demonstrated by their choice wide support for the course toward the accelerated social and economic development of the country, active participation in Eurasian integrational processes and strengthening strategic partnership and alliance with Russia," TASS cited Kremlin press service.

"The Russian president emphasized the readiness to continue dialogue and joint work on further expansion of all bilateral ties, along with constructive cooperation in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and other international structures in the interests of the peoples of Russia and Kazakhstan, in line with ensuring peace, stability and security on the continent," the press service of the Russian leader stressed.
