Mogherini: Syria has to sign protocol on cooperation with IAEA

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, said at the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) that Syria has to deal with non-compliance with the IAEA and sign an additional protocol with it, to resolve all outstanding issues.

"Syria has still to remedy its non-compliance with its Safeguards Agreement by cooperating as a matter of priority and in full transparency with the IAEA to resolve all outstanding issues. The EU calls on Syria to sign, bring into force and implement in full and as soon as possible an Additional Protocol with the IAEA as soon as possible," RIA Novosti cited Mogherini as saying.
