Bloomberg calls ruble the best currency of April

Bloomberg has called the Russian ruble the best currency of April. The agency said that, as of 6.00pm, its value in ratio to the US dollar rose by 12.8%, compared to its value a month earlier. This makes it the best currency among 170 others monitored by the agency, RBC reports.

The Ukrainian hryvnia was rated second. It gained 10.3% in April.

The euro gained 4.4%.

103 world currencies appreciated, including 16 out of 23 currencies of developing countries.

52 currencies dropped in value in ratio to the dollar. The Turkish lira showed the worst results, dropping 3% throughout the month.
