Steinmeier: Germans carry responsibility for World War II

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has issued a statement in Slovenia in which he explains the reasons for his visit to Moscow on the eve of Victory Day May 9.

"Germans bear guilt and responsibility not only for the national socialist racial madness that came from Germany, but also for ultimately unleashing the Second World War," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
