Moscow Azerbaijanis organize Universiade to support First European Games in Baku
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA Universiade has been organized by the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia (AMOR) in order to support the first European Games in Baku.
The other day the third round of the volleyball tournament organized by AMOR took place in the gym of the Sechenov Moscow State Medical University (MSMU).
Emin Hajiyev, board member of AMOR, Samir Aliyev, member of the Central Revisory Commission of AMOR, and Ivan Kalashnikov, deputy dean of the Foreign Department, spoke about the preparations for the First European Games in Baku and about the participation of Russian athletes in these competitions, AzerTaj reports.
14 teams from different universities took part in the competition. It was held according to a rotation system. Among women, first place was take by the ‘‘Vatan" team, the MSMU team came second and the team of the Piragov Russian National Research Medical University took third place. Among men, the Financial University team under the Government of the Russian Federation came first, the Russian Customs Academy took second place, MSMU came third.
