Iran is to build a race track for Formula 1

 

Masood Soltanifar, representative of the government of Iran dealing with issues of cultural heritage and tourism, said that the republic's authorities intend to build a world-class racing track on the island of Qeshm.

 

According to him, this island in the Strait of Hormuz can become one of the most beautiful places for the Grand Prix of Formula 1, Interfax informs with reference to motorsport.ru.

 

Earlier, plans were announced to build a race track for the "Royal Races" in the vicinity of Tehran.
