Lavrov to meet with German Foreign Minister

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet in Volgograd on May 7 to discuss bilateral and international issues.


"During his working trip to Russia, the German foreign minister will visit the hero city of Volgograd, where he will honor the memory of those who died in the struggle against fascism during World War II," TASS cited Russia’s Foreign Ministry.The German foreign minister and his Russian counterpart will also lay wreaths at the Monument to Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad on the Mamayev Kurgan height. "A trip is also planned to visit the war memorial in the village of Rossoshki devoted to the Soviet soldiers who died in the Battle of Stalingrad and the burial place of German soldiers located nearby," the ministry said.
