Karasin and Abashidze to meet in May or June

A meeting between the special representative of the prime minister of Georgia on settlement of relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Grigory Karasin, will be held in May or June.

"I do not know the exact date, but it will probably be in May-June," Abashidze said today, stressing the need to maintain a dialogue between Georgia and Russia.

The recent round of talks between Abashidze and Karasin was held in Prague on February 26. The main topic of discussion was the practical implementation of an agreement on the basic principles of the mechanism of customs administration and monitoring of trade between the countries.
