Victims of flood in Kuban to receive monetary compensation

The authorities of Krasnodar region will allocate 150 thousand rubles to the families for each family member to fall victim to the floods, RIA Novosti reports, quoting the press service of the regional administration.

Rainfall in the region has caused overflowing of the mountain rivers and led to the flooding of dozens of settlements. 14 people became victims of the flooding and four others are missing. 30 settlements, mainly in three areas - Tuapse, Absheron and Sochi, were affected by the floods. As Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted today during a meeting with the Regional Development Minister, Viktor Basargin, that in total 5,000 people are estimated to have suffered from the floods."
