Retirement age to be raised in Russia in 6-7 years
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAlexei Kudrin, the Vice-Premier and Finance Minister of Russia, has suggested raising the retirement age for men up to 62 years, and for women - closer to 60. He also noted that this will be a gradual process, and the change will not take place earlier than in six or seven years.
"Within a year or two we will take a decision, and then, in five years, we will begin to increase the retirement age gradually," Kudrin said, RIA Novosti reports.
The retirement age in Russia is currently 60 years for men and 55 years for women.
