First Quran released in Armenian
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Turkish authority for Islamic religious affairs (Diyanet) has released the first Quran copy in the Armenian language, Diyanet director general Yuksel Salman said, RIA Novosti reports.
The book took four years to prepare. Diyanet and professors of theology faculties of Turkish universities translated the Quran. 4,000 of its copies have been released in the eastern and the western dialects of Armenian.
Diyanet had earlier released a book in the Kurdish language.
