Steinmeier and Lavrov to discuss Ukraine and Iran in Volgograd

Today the foreign ministers of Russia and Germany - Sergei Lavrov and Frank-Walter Steinmeier - will meet in Volgograd.

"We hope that this meeting will help us not only to revitalize our bilateral dialogue, but also to open up new horizons of possible cooperation on key international and regional issues," TASS cited Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich as saying.

The Ukrainian crisis and the work of the contact group on that issue will be the main topics of the meeting. Among the already traditional items on the agenda are Iran's nuclear program and Russia's dialogue with the EU.
