Just a few days are left for us to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. This is a great holiday for all the veterans who have never dreamed of reaching these days. But they do! We lived to see the information on the pages of the plurality of the media that Armenia has seriously engaged in the revision of the historical facts. It turns out that the Armenian Legion of the Wehrmacht and its 'heroic' creators are not Nazi criminals, convicted by all mankind, but fighters for Armenia's freedom from communist domination. It hurts to read this kind of information, as well as others, like what comes from Ukraine, the Baltic States and a number of post-Soviet countries. It hurts to know that this involves the children and grandchildren of those with whom we fought shoulder to shoulder against the fascist plague. In the ranks of the Red Army, the liberator, there were people of all nationalities. We all faced death, all together smashed the fascist gangs for our children and grandchildren to be born. In order to erase the idea of fascism from the face of the earth. And don't mix sour with unleavened. The researchers argue that Armenian soldiers, such as General Ter-Harutyunyan (Nzhdeh), fought for the freedom of Armenia. And that is why they participated in the punitive actions with the Nazis? Not from history but from life we know how such national legions were formed. They were formed from prisoners. The soldiers and officers were there against their will, they were not war criminals, and they enter the legions to have at least a minimal chance of survival and arrange an escape on occasion. Someone succeeded, and they joined the side of the Red Army or the Allied forces as soon as possible, and someone organized guerrilla groups. Someone did not succeed, and someone did not even try, and faithfully served the Hitler gang, sweeping away everything in its path."Who dies for Germany, dies for Armenia!" Ter-Harutyunyan shouted in his propaganda speeches. And now a square in Armenia is named after him, his dust will be reburied and his grave will be a pilgrimage site ... Well, today we can play in 'heroes'. But it's scary to think what would happened to Armenia if these heroes won. What would have happened if a multinational Red Army doesnot stop the brown plague? It is terrible even to think. But you should! First and foremost, not the veterans, but the younger generation of the various republics, which decided to reshape history under its current needs.Appeal from the veteran organizations of the city of Akko in IsraelWe fully support the appeal of the International Association Israel-Azerbaijan 'AzIz'. In 1945 we hoped that we had completely eradicated the fascist plague. But obviously, no amount of weeding at field, but weeds still grow, but you cannot let them dissolve. Otherwise, what were we fighting for, buried our comrades, and our mothers, wives and children worked without rest in the rear and died of hunger and cold? We say it once again: Fascism shall not pass!On behalf of the veterans' organizations:Michael Duhovny - a war invalid, the Chairman of the Committee of Disabled War Veterans of the city of AkkoJacob Ruinsky, a former ghetto prisoner, the Chairman of the Committee of Disabled War Veterans of the city of AkkoJacob Kakzakevich - a war veteran, AkkoNahum Stepman - a disabled war veteran, AkkoGiphin Lev - a survivor of the siege, a war veteran, Akko
