Poroshenko calls on UN to play a greater role in resolving crisis in Ukraine

The UN's role in resolving the situation in the Donbass should be increased, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during a meeting with the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

"Poroshenko said that the United Nations should play a greater role in a resolution of the Donbass conflict and send peacekeepers to that region," RIA Novosti cited a message of the press-service of the Ukrainian president.According to Poroshenko, the humanitarian situation in the area of conflict is extremely difficult and the delivery of Ukrainian and international humanitarian aid has become impossible.
