Sargsyan on his way to Moscow

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan  has flown to Moscow on a working visit. He will participate in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and attend the commemorations devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

He will participate in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and attend the commemorations devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.The Victory Parade in Moscow will also be attended by Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan."We will certainly attend the main festivities which, I believe, will take place in Moscow," the Armenian president said in an interview aired by the Rossiya 24 TV news channel on April 6, adding that a small number of Armenian military units would march on Moscow's Red Square at the Victory Parade."By the start of the Great Patriotic War, Armenia had a population of 1.9 million people. There were 2.8 million Armenians on the territory of the Soviet Union, including Armenia," Sargsyan said. "A total of 600,000 Armenians went to the front, of whom 314,000 did not return home. This is every ninth Armenian, or almost 12% of the Armenian population," he noted.

 

The Victory Parade in Moscow will also be attended by Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan.
