Torch of the first European Games arrives in Agjabadi

The torch of the first European Games 'Baku-2015' has arrived in Agjabadi. Today, in the park named after Heydar Aliyev in Agjabadi, a ceremony of greeting it was held.

Torchbearers processed along Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Heydar Aliyev Avenues in Agjabadi and reached the central square named after Heydar Aliyev, where they were warmly and cheerfully greeted by residents of the area, Trend reports.

The last marathon runner, the Deputy Head of the District Department of Youth and Sports, Eldaniz Ganbarov, standing on the stage, lit the flame of the first European Games.

At the ceremony a video was shown of the ceremony of lighting the torch of the first European Games in the temple of fire worshippers at Ateshgah on 26 April.
