Former President of Yemen publicly supported Houthis

The former head of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, has supported the rebel Houthi movement of Ansar Allah in their fight against Saudi aggression. He made this statement to the people of Yemen.

"I was not an ally of Ansar Allah, but today I openly declare that the Yemeni people will support those who protect their national interests in the face of the Saudi aggression,’’ RIA Novosti cited him as saying.

In addition, Saleh urged the Yemeni people "with weapons in their hands to defend their country against the aggression."
