The President of India made an honorary doctor of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry

Within the walls of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, President of India Pranab Mukherjee was awarded an honorary doctorate for "outstanding achievements in maintaining peace and contribute to the friendship and cooperation of the peoples of Russia and India." The head of state expressed his gratitude for being awarded an honorary doctorate by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and recalled that he arrived in Moscow to attend the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Victory. The President noted the huge role of Russia and its sacrifices during these historic events as well as in the struggle against fascism. He stressed that Russia and India have unique ties and multilateral relations.
