Yemeni ambassador withdrawn from Iran

The Yemeni government has withdrawn its ambassador from Tehran. Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyad Yaseen had said earlier today that the country could break diplomatic ties with Iran over the incident around the Iran Shahed humanitarian ship, TASS reports.

The Iranian ship is en route to Yemen and escorted by two military ships. The Yemeni government has not given it permission to enter. The coalition of Arab states fighting against the rebels promised to keep the ship out of Yemeni territorial waters. Iran responded with readiness to open fire if necessary.
