Russian lawmaker calls for classes on basics of religious culture

Yelena Mizulina, the head of the State Duma Committee for the Family, Women and Children, plans to implement the basics of religious culture as a subject at primary schools, RIA Novosti reports.


In her opinion, they will be classes of good deeds, spiritual communication, spiritual and ethical historical values. Children, Mizulina goes on, will distinguish between the good and the bad.


The lawmaker noted that the subject had been implemented in some areas of the Central Federal District.
