Crimea may host 'Race of Heroes' in coming year

The military-sports game 'Race of Heroes' in 2016 may take place in Crimea, the organizers of the competition reported today during the St. Petersburg stage games.

"In 2016 the geography of the 'Race of Heroes' will be expanded by more than 10 cities, including proposed competitions on one of the military ranges in Crimea", RIA Novosti quotes a representative of the organizing committee of the race as saying.

This year, 'Race of Heroes' was first held in St. Petersburg. It will be held in Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad and Vladivostok. Competitions are held with the support of the Russian Defense Ministry in the framework of the revival of the system of delivery of standards through the nationwide sports complex "Ready for work and defense."
