Cavusoglu: we look forward to progress on visa-free regime with EU

"We have successfully launched a dialogue on abolition of the visa regime. I hope that there will be some progress in the near future," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.Cavusoglu also emphasized the cooperation between Turkey and the EU in the field of security. "We will strengthen cooperation with the EU on regional security, peace and stability, as we do it now in relation to the fight against illegal forces," the minister added.Turkish Minister for EU Affairs, Volkan Bozkir, in his turn, said that Turkey's accession to the EU is important for both sides."We hold the 53rd Meeting of the Turkey-EU Association Council today. So many years have passed since the signing of the Association Agreement between Turkey and the EU. Turkey patiently and carefully refers to the ongoing work in this regard, but it is a long time. If we look at Turkey's membership from the economic, political and other terms, it accords with the interests of all parties," he stressed.
