Finnish company to manage construction of SOCAR carbamide factory

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has devolved management of the construction of its carbamide factory upon Neste Jacobs Oy (Finland). A deal was signed in Helsinki, abc.az reports.

The carbamide factory project in Azerbaijan is being realized by SOCAR and Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd. (South Korea). The facility will cover Azerbaijan's demand for the fertilizer. It will produce 1,200 tons of ammonium and 2,000 tons of carbamide a day. The factory will open in 2017.

The construction deal signed with the Finnish company is worth 622 million euros.
